I have been suffering with right sided pain for 3 months. I have had every test in the book: xrays, ultrasound, hida scan, ct scan, mri, liver biopsy, vaginal ultrasound & everything is all normal. I went to the gastro next, & on Thursday I am getting a colonoscopy. I take enulose for constipation & I have taken it for 15 years. MY pain feels like pressure, like somthing is stuck there, but according to the tests there is nothing there. My dr is calling it IBS, but i am so uncomfortable, I reaaly feel like something else is wrong. Als, my bowels are not working as good as they did before. It could be because of this pain. I am praying they find an answer to this. This has really affected my life. If anyone can offer any support or experience with this. Id loveto hear back. Thanks, Kim
Do you have any other symptoms? Do you sometimes eat and suddenly feel overly full? Do you sometimes hurt into your right shoulder/arm? Do you wake up nauseated in the middle of the night and do you hurt/feel sicker if you lay flat on your back? You mention that you have suffered from constipation, but now you're not functioning the same; is your constipation worse, or do you have diarrhea now too?
The only symptoms I am having is the pain pressure on the right side. I do not get any relief when I have a bowel movemont, Then , this is new, but my bwels are not working well at all & I take a lactulose. I am not nauseated, but this pain keeps me awake at night. I am not sure if its all related: the constipation, pain, etccbut my dr has to figure it out soon casue i am so misreable & upset.
Well, it doesn't sound like gall bladder. You don't hurt down low on your right side do you?
I think right side pain is fairly common among people with bowel problems. Not sure why, but if you've ruled out gall bladder and appendicitis and ovarian cysts/endometreosis, then it's probably bowels. Maybe someone else here might have some ideas on how to get relief.

I have been through all the tests also and nothing has been found. My pain feels at times like the spot over the appendix is on fire. Other times it's closer to the hip and lower. Always there but varies in severity. I feel for you.
Let us know how the colonoscopy goes. Hope you find some answers.
