Hi guys
Im just wondering... I suffer from having a red face, or red checks. I am normally pale red all the time however when i get embarresed or stress or any anxiety BOY do i go red like really RED. Also if i go out for a night on the town i really go red than to. Im just wondering if you have heard of any treatments for it or something that can reduce the iritability of it so its not influecing my life so much. it also goes down my neck and its not like its my whole face its just my checks and neck and have this huge pale white bit around my mouth and all that. PLEASE HELP ME. I have had this condition since i was young but seems to be getting worse..... Please help.

I've been having similiar attacks and just came to the conclusion that I may have Rosacea. Mine is mostly on my nose and I've noticed a redness that is not going away as fast as before so I pretty much look like Rudolph! I have read that using gentle cleansers can help, plus too they make a face cleansing line from Euchrin ideal for Rosacea. I have been using this for the past week and have already noticed a difference. If you are using cleansers that have Benzoyl Peroxide, you need to stop because this actually irritates the skin more.
I am going to my general doctor soon and I am going to ask him about this. Have you been to a doctor at all concerning this?

sherry no i have not. i just researched it myself. i was reading doctors dont like dealing with it as there is no cure for it....... seems they dont like dealing with things that there are no cures for..... im also a sufferer of costochondritis....... no cure for that either..... i let to get these illnesses with no cure

Tool, doctors may not like the idea that they can't treat something that is incurable but at least they may be able ease your discomfort or offer you some helpful suggestions. Do you feel as if your face is burning when you have these espisodes? I gather that you have fair skin? I am fair (with freckles) so anything excitable leaves me flushed so even for me this is unusual. I don't like the fact that it may leave me scarred (yes I'm a little vain) so off to the docs I go to see if they can help. I highly recommend the Euchrin if you can get it. I don't know where you're from but I get mine at Walgreens.
