Hello I'm PJ, I normally over in ostomy but my health now leads me here. I am seeing a neurologist Nov. 10 for possible parkinsons. I am scared out of my mind. The only person I've ever known with this disease is the actor Michael Fox and I don't really know him. I would appreciate it if any of you would share your story with me.....from start of symptoms ( what they were), how you were diagnosed, how fast the disease progressed etc. Thank any of you willing to tell me your story.

Hi PJ,First and foremost remember that Parkinsons disease is usually controlled with medications,and it isn't the end of the world.I was dx 7 yrs ago and still working so life does go on .Go with your neurologist ,and if you are not happy with him/her get a second opinion.Keep a positive attitude,and we are here for you.P.S.Keep us informed of your neurologist visit.Also M>Fox is doing much better since he has started meds.
Ed-Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1998.I am also Diabetic,and have major arthritis issues.As long as I can fish life is good.
