Hello Everyone:
I have been reading your posts on this site and am moved by your power, camaraderie, and unfailing optimism. I am a graduate student developing a thesis on the public perception of the existing/need for research and tools for the treatment and diagnosis of all types of cancer.
In particular, I am currently researching certain drugs and diagnostic tests being developed. Genentech’s Herceptin is one of the diagnostic test/drug combo that stands out. I am very interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter.
How do you feel about a diagnostic test that can only identify patients for a certain disease modifying agent (which is manufactured by the same entity)?
