Well today is my granddaughters 1'st Birthday. My son clled to ask us to her party. I have decided on not going. When we were there on Xmas I had a seizure. His mother- in -law said it really upset her mother. I have a kidney infection and have had seizures the past 3 days. The Zonegran was working good I thought. But I know when I get sick my my seizures do increase. So I am not very comfortable going to the party.My husband says he understands and will call my son. This is the third time I am being treated for this infection. The DR. called last night and said he was sure it was a kidney infection.I asked him to prescribe Bactrim. When I was younger that always worked.So he did .These mood swings the Zonegran puts me in is just to much. Accually it is like crying jags. The EPI. nurse said it should subside in 6 weeks but if I have anymore seizures I will call.It just makes me so sad,then I cry and I don't know why. I just feel like I have no controll of my life. If I could not talk to you all on this forum Gosh I don't know what I would do. Well thanks////// Mary

Hi Mary. I know it sucks!! It took me 6 weeks to adjust to the Keppra. Easy for them to say. Hard to do! Six weeks is a long time to adjust to meds. Stay strong. And you are not feeling well and have a lot going on. NO one should fault you for not being able to make it to a party. Take care. Tracy
Thanks Tracy you are a very understanding person. I take Keprra too,but I do not remember it effecting me in such a way. I do have alot of other things on my mind, so that does not help. How are you doing? Thanks for listening. How is your job? When do you go back to school? Mary
Oh Mary I am so sorry! can you have a smaller party with your grandaughter for just your family and hers?

Oh yes I had a terrible time adjusting to Keppra. I start school Feb 28. I am still having relationship troubles, which is at the top of my list right now. I hope that everything worked out for you on your grandaughters birthday. Things get hard in life. and it is especially hard for us to truck threw with this darn E hanging over our heads. Tracy
