Hi Sarah, That’s weird that the docs didn’t find anything.... I have bradycardia which is low heart rate and got a pace maker for it (I'm 32 BTY). Well, my pacer has picked up readings of arrhythmias and A Fib’s, which is when my heart is thrown into an abnormally fast rhythm. I can feel when this happens and it feels much like what you described. Sudden sharp pain that takes my breath away and after a few minutes it calms down but not to a normal pace, that usually takes about 10-15 minutes of resting or so. I don’t have PVC's so I don’t know what those feel like. I am just kind of glad I have the pacemaker (never thought I would say that) or else my cardiologist wouldn’t be able to catch the readings, ya know? It is a very scary feeling, that I have noticed is brought on by too much exercise, if I smoke too much, and caffeine. I am on a ton of meds to keep my BP up and am supposed to drink lots of coffee to help but coffee has started to irritate that problem so I had to nix it. Anyway, have you looked into arrhythmisa's or A fib's before as a possibility? I'm not sure but I think they have to catch them when there happening, other wise tests may come back okay. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this...
My mom has extremely high blood pressure. For now under control with meds. Thank God. She has hit 120 something over 110 before. She had a mini stroke at that point.. so I'm very vigilant with her. Would a pacemaker work for high bp?
