Shelley is out of ICU....

I talked to her tonight. She is out of ICU, she got an infection in her incison. She is not a happy camper. She repeatedly told them it was hurting. Her family is bringing her food trying to give her something she wants to eat. She is really worried about the flu. So many of their schools have closed down because of teachers having the flu. She said she might be better off where she is. The last thing she needs right now is the flu. I want to thank all of you so much for asking about her. Love and hugs Joyce

Joyce,

Thanks for the update. I am so sorry that Shelley is having such a rough time. Why in the world dont the Dr listen to us when we tell them we are having problems ? We know our bodies and they need to listen to us  !! mad

Please tell Shelley I send my love

Cathi

Sometimes it is a slender thread, Sometimes a strong,
stout rope; She clings to one end, I the other;
She calls it friendship; I call it hope....

I'm so glad Shelley is out of ICU, but I am glad she is still there for them to take care of her. Please tell her she is in my prayers...
Hugs,
Julie

Infection problems from incision? Who would have thought? I hope she is gaining strength with the good food from home. That poor child needs some breaks....... Prayers and love going her way. Hugs MK

Joyce, thanks for the update.  Glad Shells is in her own room now and getting some real food (did she ask for brownies).  Sending prayers and hugs.
Love, Libby

Friends are God's way of taking really good care of us.

Thanks for the update. She really doesn't need the flu. It has been running circles around the family. I am just recuperating and my DD has the respitory kind. DH, so far, has remained untouched.

I am glad she is out of ICU and that the darn doctors finally realized the infection. Some of them can be so thick in the head.

Shelley and her family are in my prayers,

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel.

Proverbs 27:9

Thanks for the update, Joyce. I"m so glad she's out of ICU and recovering. Darn doctors anyway. If they REALLY want to help, why don't they just listen and indulge us??? Well, I had to get that off my chest. Thanks for the opportunity.

L&H,
Rita

Listen, listen and listen some more. What in the world is wrong with these drs??? I can't stand it when they think they know everything and disregard what the patient is saying. Shelley, my heart hurts for you. Keep strong and keep speaking your mind to the drs. Joyce, you're a treasure. Thanks for keeping us updated. How I wish there would be a cure for this wretched disease. Hugs, Luci

Joyce, thank you for keeping us updated. Sending mega hugs and prayers for Shelley. I hate it when Drs blow you off like you don't know what you are talking about. I honestly think they many times don't even comprehend they are working for US! NOT the other way around. @#$%^! Ok, now I feel better! L&H, Gail

Hoping by now there is more good news from Shelley.  Also hoping she does not get the flu.  It is making it's way around my part of the country too.  So far I am avoiding it, but hate to brag too loudly.

Hugs for Shelley and thanks Joyce for the updates.

Love, Kitty
