How many hours of sleep to you get a night? Do you take naps?
As I sit here typing this out, I'm wondering how many of you are already sleeping?
People may get enough sleep through different methods, such as taking 'cat' naps throughout the day, or a long nap in the afternoon.
How do you sleep?

what is sleep? i am the most abnormal sleeper i know! i am a 100% total night owl, and
have never been able to control it. i don't have trouble sleeping, or falling asleep - i have
trouble falling asleep when the rest of the world does! i should have been born into a job
where there is a 2nd or 3rd shift or something, like a nurse. i rarely take naps anymore,
altho' i used to alot. it didn't seem to make any difference in how much sleep i got that night
though. i wonder, too, like you asked, if others take naps (and still manage to sleep at night).

I wish I could sleep more...at least lately. I go to bed around 9 or 10 at night and usually wake up at 4:30 in the morning. So yeah, I was asleep when you made your post.

On the weekends I may end up taking a nap but I don't during the week...they just won't let me at school! Personally, I think an afternoon nap is a good idea!
I do have sleep apnea so I wonder what part that plays in me taking naps and all. I do have a cpap and, after using that, I notice a huge difference in my quality of sleep and the amount I get. I used to fall asleep before 7 every night!

I go to sleep around midnight and wake up between 7-7:30 in the morning...But I wake up a number of times during the night..I always have to turn over and look at the clock since my room has no windows or skylight so I never know when it`s morning as it`s dark in my room even at noon...I always take an afternoon nap on weekends and sometimes if I`m really tired I`ll set the alarm clock on my cell phone and lay across the seat of my truck and take a 30 minute nap instead of eating lunch during the week
I have a terribly sleep pattern, that I'm trying to change. I awaken more than a couple of times during the night. My mask must have been too tight last night as I woke up with a sore face and had to adjust it a few times. Then one time or two it was leaking. I'd love to just fall asleep and not wake up for 8 hours. My way of trying to change my sleep pattern is to try and go to bed earlier every night and to make myself go to bed and not fall asleep on teh sofa. If I do, I feel unrested the rest of the day. I dont' get enough oxygen I'm sure. Sleep is one of the things that seems to be a daily thought, like "I hope I can sleep tonight." I do sleep better though with my cpap than when I didn't have one. I also try to keep my room dark. And, another thing is when I fall asleep on teh sofa I wake up numerous times to get after the cats because they are scratching on the sofa or fighting and waking me up, or something. I"m in some twilight state and probably scare the heck out of them. The poor sweet little things. LOL
