The sore throat and fever's lasted for over 4 days. It doesn't test positive for Covid. Previously, I'd let the sore throat take its course, but this is the longest it's lasted. I fear that if it's strep, I'll have to take antibiotics which will lead to a full-blown flare.
Just nervous and a little scared.

Sorry you are ailing, Teacher. Did you get a throat culture, apart from Covid test? Or try gargling with warm salt water solution? I understand that antibiotics are worrisome, but if you have to go that route try taking Florestor probiotic ca. 2 hours after your final antibiotic dose each day.
