Seems we've been hearing about this forever, but it looks like the results are in. Raloxifene is as good as Tamoxifen, with some differences in side effects. Not a resounding victory, but score another one for choices....

I just saw this on TV it says that it works just as good without all of the horrible side effects of tam. I think it is great that there is one more choice.

Is this the one that helps with osteoperosis (sp?) If so, I called my Onc's office the other day when I heard bout it and she said it hasn't been approved yet for breast cancer and that it is only a preventative to those that are at high risk of getting the disease, not for ones who already have it. Which didn't make a lot of sense since it's supposed to be better than tamoxofin as far as side effects goes.
