Hi mads,
Have you spoken to your doc about this and the colonic irrigation? I would definitely discuss this with him/her and ask what you can do to relieve the bloating. Two weeks is definitely a long time to go like that.

That has to be gas trapped in there--although what's causing it is a mystery. I assume you've tried OTC anti-gas pills already. Ask your doctor if there's not a prescription anti-gas medicine that will help you. Or can you double or triple up on the OTC stuff? You need some serious help.
You menitoned that you are constipated a lot. Maybe the gas that should be going on through your system is blocked by impactions and so backs up in your stomach? Ask a doctor about going on a laxative program to get yourself moving again and see if that doesn't let the gas out. I'm thinking the phospho soda or go-lyghtly that they give people prior to colonoscopies (or does the colonic irrigation do the same thing?).
I don't know if lighter measures will work for you, but have you tried aloe vera? You can get it in pills (I've heard it can be nasty-thick in liquid form) and works as a laxative. If it's okay with your doctor for long-term use, you might try that once you get cleaned out to keep you from getting backed up again.
I hope you get to feeling better and manage to be in your sister's wedding. You might want to make sure she knows what's going on and how much you are swelling up so she can have a back-up plan in case you can't get into your dress.
i am also REALLY bloated, i also had to buy clothes in bigger size, when i tell the doctors about this they really just dont know what to say, except gas pockets, i have put on 20 lbs, and i am avid dieter and jogger...... Is digestive advantage supposed to be good for bloating ? I havent had a colonoscopy yet, but i have been diagnosed with IBS-C .
I have found Digestive Advantage IBS helps me as far as the gas, nausea and acid ,etc but is not doing anything for the constipation so I am still working on that. I took some Benefiber yesterday and where as I went today rather well my stomach was upset when I woke up. Dont know what it could have been other than that but I have been laying around the last few days due to an eye problem. They have DA for gas as well as DA for IBS. I have only used the IbS one.
it says on box it also helps for bloating, so was wondering if it really does. My doctor put me on Miralax, and i have gone everyday for little over 3 weeks every day except maybe 2 days, i thought once i started going , the bloating would go down..... But the miralax has worked wonderful for me as far as having BM's.
