From MSN: Scientists are proposing to use your stomach as a lie detector. Polygraphs, which are sometimes inaccurate, could be combined with "electrogastrograms," which monitor digestive activity and proved more reliable than heart rate at detecting lies in a small study.
So we can detect lies by looking at our gut activity, but we can't look at those same guts and figure out what's medically wrong with them?
And how does it test on people who have known stomach issues like us, people with Crohn's, UC and chronic acid reflux? Could my stomach's reaction to caffiene imply that I'm lying?
Unless the government gets any more big brother than it is already, most of us should never have to know the answer to that question.
Lil, I was having a lot of problems with the board yesterday--pages not coming up due to server errors; I probably got the post hung up on some error and resent it and ended up with two. Bad day for computers all around, come to think of it; our network at work got so SLOW yesterday afternoon. I fully expected it to crash, but somehow it didn't. Stuart said their network at Dell messed up too. Maybe we had a solar flare which caused a magnetic pulse which messed up computers everywhere.
Or maybe I'm just telling one. My stomach might indicate so, lol.
