Hi...please give me feedback if you got this done or if you know anyone who got this done. I'm desperate for relief from GERD and I'm seriously considering driving out of my state to see a specialist who performs this. I got diagnosed w/ Gerd on June 2005.
I've been on diff. PPIs, lately on Prilosec but I've been told to get off it by my Gastro doctor bec. it seems to be affecting my liver(confirmed through a blood test). ALL these PPIs are bad news and I wish my doctor told me last year that it can affect your liver. I asked him last year when I was first diagnosed if this was safe to take long term, he said yes it's perfectly safe....What a lie!
Also if anyone knows of a good herbal relief pls. advise!

Hi---I looked into the nissen, actually that's what my GI doctor recommended but I have a friend who got that done and they had to do it 3x bec. it kept failing!
I am interested in the Stretta procedure bec. it's minimal and it's all done through an endoscope and conscious sedation.
