Hi TJane.

I know you don't know me,but i wanted to wish you well for tomorrow.Please post back with an update when you are feeling up to it.

I have had an ileostomy for nearly 16 months,due to 25 years of uc,and my life is so much better now.Infact i would say that i have got my life back.

Are you having an epidurel for pain relief?I did and it was wonderful.They did take that out after 2 days though and i had tablets (tramodol)it took a few hours for me too adjust and at first it did seem as if i had gone backwards as far as pain was concerned,but it didnt last.After a few hours i was coping realy well and was home on the 8th day after surgery.

I can honestly say that for me surgery and recovery was so much easier than i thought it would be.
