I checked in on Connie today and she has gotten blood and it has really increased her energy level. She said if her lungs continue to fill she is going to have a drain surgically put in. So she does not have to get them drained all the time. She sounded so much better today. She was able to stay on the phone and chat. It was so nice to have a talk with her and I could hear how much more energy she has in her voice.
Shelley is still in the hospital. She says she is coming home on Monday. Her idea not the doctors. She sounds tired but has her sense of humor. She actually had me laughing a couple of times. Hope things get a lot better for both of them soon. I told them both you have been asking. They send their love. L&H Joyce
How wonderful it would be to see Angels where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see clouds where there are Angels.
Thanks for checking in with them and reporting to us how they are doing. I need to get some cards written tomorrow. I have been lazy all week. Prayers for all our sisters who need them. My mother has a friend who is 80 who has had to fight breast cancer three times already and it is back again. I called her today to find out what the story really is, because my mother didn't know. She was not sure what Rx the onc had her on, but she is taking something orally. She says she cannot do chemo at her age and with Parkinson's which she also suffers from. So please add Betty in Pittsburgh to your prayers. At 80 she doesn't need to be dealing with this stuff either. Hugs MK

Sometimes it is a slender thread, Sometimes a strong,
stout rope; She clings to one end, I the other;
She calls it friendship; I call it hope....
Oy, all this fluid in the lungs for both of them! No fair! I am glad they each seem to be on the mend though, and feeling better.
Continued hugs & prayers for them as well as Betty in Pgh.

Thanks Joyce for filling us in on those two lovely ladies.
Love and hugs to them and you,

Adding prayers for Betty too.. that she is given her body a rest from all her pain to enjoy the life she has without being hurt..
There are two days in the week about which and upon which I never worry. Two carefree days, kept sacredly free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday... And the other day I do not worry about is Tommorrow.

Thanks for the update. Glad Connie could talk a little while today. The night I called her she was having some trouble talking much, so we only chatted a couple minutes. Hope the fluid stays away for both her and Shells.

Please add my prayers for all three. And if anyone has more prayers left, my friends son just died at age 34 while swimming. He was a film maker in Michigan. His name was Alan. His mom and I are friends from church and work at the soup kitchen together. A very dear person. Love, Di
While swimming? What on earth happened? So sorry for his family, prayers included. Hugs MK
