I did not hear this, but since there is an increased risk for blood clots, this makes sense. Those at risk for blood clots are not good candidates for Tamoxifen...

Still, for many, the benefits outweigh the risks, until something better comes along-

I think that is why Arimidex is such a great alternative. It has also been shown to work 30% better than Tamox.
But you have to be in Meno to get it.
Sherry, aren't you getting an ooph? or a hyst? Because if you are then you can switch!

Yes, Jessie. I am having a complete hyst and removing ovaries on Nov 18. The peace of mind that I have gotten since scheduling surgery is wonderful. My onc gave her 100% blessing on this procedure and told me that afterwards she will start me on Arimidex. Thanks for remembering, Jessie.

I read the side effects of the drugs I take and it makes my head spin..! Hopefully the benefits outweigh the side effects. As with so
many other things we deal with..this is another crap shoot...
