Hi Nikool,
With the vinegar you put about a tablespoon into a glass of apple cider vinegar, and with the onions, I have just tried eating a couple of cocktail onions a day.
Anything is worth a go. If you want the web address feel free to send me an email and I will send it on to you.

Hey, Corinne. Yup, some people think apple cider vinegar helps with GERD. Those who hold that opinion believe that GERD is actually caused by having TOO LITTLE acid instead of too much. The reasoning is that if you don't have enough acid, the food just sits there in your stomach, giving it more time to reflux back up.
If you want to try it, buy a good quality ACV at a health food store (please, no Heinz). Look for the kind that contains "mother" -- natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle that has not been filtered out. Put a tablespoon in a cup of warm water with honey and drink. WARNING: Some people with GERD say ACV gives them the burn even worse. It's up to you.
I mentioned this on another post, but you may also want to try taking straight tablespoons of honey occasionally to coat the throat and esophagus. Of course, these are just suggestions I've come across in my own research and not intended to replace the advice of your doctor. Wow, cocktail onions. That's a new one. Glad it seems to be working.
Best,
Laura
Hi Laura,
Thankyou for the added advice. I am glad someone else has heard of this. Have you actually tried the apple cider vinegar yourself?
Thanks again Corinne
You know, I did, but unsuccessfully. However, my chief problem is motility, not GERD. I was using the ACV to treat what I thought were GERD symtoms, but later found out were motility-related: bloating, feeling of food sitting like a rock in the stomach. It probably would have been better for me to use a digestive enzyme. Hope it works for you, though. Maybe start off with 1/2 a tablespoon, to be safe

I haven't heard of the pickled onion, but have tried the pickled garlic and ACV. The ACV have worked on occasion for me, but not sure if it would work w/o meds or on a regular basis., although, some people live by it w/honey and w/o. I had to resort to the ACV last night when nothing else worked. I got relief and was able to sleep.
Best Wishes for reflux free days.......
