TimTam

Hey TimTam,

My bil brought us a bunch of cookies for Christmas. There was a box of chocolate cookies from Australia. They are called TimTam. Look them up and see if they are on the internet. If I can remember how to upload a pic I will. Hope you had a happy New Years. And the cookies are really good...

“Hugs, Karen..”.

I’ll accept the cookies and the hugs. But not necessarily in that order.

OK, here’s a poem for you. Don’t get me started.

cookies supplied by Karen.
“Hugs handed out via “getting by”
“Sweetness of all three by the grace of god.”

And a saying I heard,

“As one person, I cannot change the world.
“But I can change the world of one person.”

You used the term, “bil.” I was stumped, as usual, by the inititals. With out having to look it up, my guess is. “Brother in law.”

I don’t know a anything about the cookies. They’re the last thing on my mind.

Concerning your post of 12-24-2022 titled “Merry Christmas,” it’s now 1-1-2026 and that post has 4191 views. I am jealous. I hope you’re happy. I’m thinking, nobody else could do that but Karen.

On that post of 12-24-2022, you wrote, “I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Filled with peace, love and good health.

“Safe travels and being around people you love.”

“Hugs, Karen..."

On my post of 10-22-2025 under the title, “Problems seem like mountains when derpressed,” I wrote from a previous post, speaking of Joyce and others, “Some people are the heart of this thread and one was the soul.”
Tim Tam Tom

And a saying of,

“Even though the world doesn’t understand you, it needs you. It needs people like you because you give it balance, you give people hope and you remind people that it’s okay to real, soft and vulnerable. You remind people that it’s okay to be a non-perfect human being.”
— Rania Naim, To The Ones Who Are Tired Of Apologizing For Their Feelings

about Tim Tam cookies, the net says, “Irresistible layers of crunchy cookie, luscious velvety cream filling, and a smooth milk chocolatey coating.” And they are gluten free. And it’s free delivery.

Apparently it’s not just a fad, because they’re all ovber the net. And they are at Walmart.

I make these cookies inbeteen postings. I make them up in my kitchen. Not Austrailia, that's just for advertising. From a special reciepe. But don’t ask me for it. I have my limits. I got my big break when Walmart started carrying them.

Apparently they’re all the rage.

You included in your post, “And the cookies are really good...”

That was a free ad. If you’ll keep mentioning them in the future, since this website reaches thousands, I’ll cut you in on the profits, and give you a lifetime supply.

Since you mentioned that in your post, sales have gone up .2 percent. And with your popularity, I think that will increase. How about, “Karen loves Tim Tam cookies, why not give them a try?

And “Karen wishes you a Merry Christmas, and suggests Tim Tam cookies for your gift giving needs.”

And, “Karen cares. Shouldn’t you? Give Tim Tam cookies for all those special occasions.”

Plus, “Hugs from Karen, and a box of `Tim Tam’ cookies. It’s all you’ll ever need.”

And from the poem department, from someone who had it pinned to their posts:

“Love is like a magic penny, keep it and you won’t have any. Lend it, spend it, give it away and it will come back to you someday.”

Hi TimTam,

Yes, bil is brother in law. Thanks for the response. Not a lot going on in the forums anymore. I see you keep the place alive. That is awesome.

Karen,
I got one set of initials right, “bil.” Since I don’t use a cell phone because I don’t know how, I’m not up to date with initials.

“bil” means “brother in law” for those not in the know.

I couldn’t text if I had to.

On my land line, should I say, “My bil came over the other day.?”

I’ll tell you how far I go back.

In the 1950s, land line telephones came to our small hometown.

I remember my 6th grade teacher telling us how to use one. She said, “When the phone rings, it means somebody is calling you. And so you pick up the phone and say `Hello?'”

In my day, that was considered high tech. That’s about as far as I went with phones.

I’ve had my cell phone for about 10 years. about a week ago, I wrote down on my phone, “To call, dial the # then hit (rectangle) button.” I don’t want to be behind the times.

As I remember, I’ve yet to make my first cell phone call. And I’ve also never answered one. I wouldn’t know what button to push. But I would know to say: “Hello.”

When I first got my computer, the help line guy was saying terms like, “OK, go to your desktop,” and I would say, “Where is the desktop?” and he broke and said, “You have to have a certain amount of intelligence.”

I knew one woman who also didn’t want a computer, and she said her typewriter worked fine except that the letter “E” didn’t work. We were on the same level.

To do my share, I just write my expeireicnes, which at my age seem to be all bad.

Thanks for the post. You make me crazy. But then, that’s why I’m here.

Oh, to follow your lead,

(((Hugs, Tim Tam Tom)))
