As all PD patients I have great problems in changing of sleeping attitude and I am wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to cope with this.
The fact is that when I go to leep in a given attitude I wake up some 1 hour thereafter with cramps and stifness of th limbs and the only resource I have to continu the night sleep is to get up and move around till th wore is past so I can go back to sleep for another hour etc etc.
hi there the only thing i can recommennd is get as much physio as possible to keep the joints supple and it keeps the blood flowing thru the muscles and a massage if possible to. ask your consulant if you are ok to take natural joint supplements.
Jacques, My mom-in-law used to wear silky pajamas and liked satin sheets. She said the combination made it much easier to move in bed. Eventually she slept without any night clothes at all because that was the easiest way to sleep but she sure loved those satin sheets. She also had one of those 'memory foam' mattress toppers because they were more comfortable, but eventually she wanted the firmest matress she could get because it was easier to turn on. Satin sheets may help you a bit, but I don't know if they make satin jammies for men. Hope this helps. ~ Jeannie
