Type 1 Diabetics in this Forum

How many of the members of this forum are Type 1? I was just wondering, since the moajrity of the topics in the forum seem to focus on Type 2

Life can be hard. You just have to roll with the punches. Diabetes, Kidney Disease, Chemo; it doesn't matter. Just learn from it and move on.

My son was diagnosed with type 1. He is 4.

My son is Type 1 he's 2.5 yr old was dx at 18 months.

Dx with MS 2005.

Hi - first time using the healingwell. I am wondering if any one has used Diabeticine - I have just recieved info about it and wanting to get some info from any one using it.

My son (he is four and a half) is taking Diabeticine and the blood sugar is now closer to normal values. Too early to tell more.

My son is 5 diagnosed at 4. Do you mind if I ask you some simple Q. like how has it effected the insulin doses...I am in Australia finding it hard to find any one that has heard of Diabeticine and to answer my questions...

We've started not long ago and haven't lowered the insulin dose yet, however I'm grateful to see more stability in the glucose levels. If you have more specific questions you can email me directly at cristinabalan@hotmail.com .

My daughter was diagnosed type 1 last year at 6½.

Hi everyone,

My first post on this board.

I'm type 1 since November the 17th 1979 (no, I do not throw myself a "diagnose-party" on that day!). 29 years old now. Only serious complication so far is retinopathy (and that's well over enough!).

Last blood tests: Fasting glicose=65mg/dl (normal: 70-105), A1c=9.1%

, other than that, perfect!

off topic but what does dx mean? diagnose?

o yes, type 1 here also.
