Hey there, Sorry to here of all your problems. I have no experience but am trying to get the neuro to refer my daughter for one. So let me know how your's goes.
I didn't ever think to relate lupus to anything. My two aunt's on my dad's side have lupus. And my cousin on my mom's side has M.S. and lupus? They just told her she fits lupus too. She has lots of blood issue's and has to take blood thinners and blood building vitamins. I wonder if I should mention to the neuro that kinfolk have autoimmune issues?
You've got me wondering if my 15 year old has undiagnosed issues?
Hope all goes well and you get some answers.

Video EEG is my speciality I guess you can say.
I have been throught 5 brain surgeries amd EEG monitoring is nothing.
You are just hooked up to the EEG the entire time you stay in the hospital
and you are video taped the entire time. Unless you go outside the video
range.
There is nothing to it. Just take some things with you that will keep
you busy during the day. Reading, crafts, anything you like to do.
You will spend the day in bed so they can see your every move along
the lines of brain activity. And because you have Epilepsy they
won't want you out of bed much because they want to catch as much
as possible while being hooked up.
I make a joke about the EEG monitoring. I am hooked up to a wall
and the only way out is to unplug me. Which you will find to be true.
Oh and before I forget. You can only wear button up PJ's.
Because of the cords you have to have buttom up. You won't get the
other ones on. You won't have a problem with the pants though. Just
the tops.
EEG monitoring is nothing. Since having 5 brain surgeries and being in a nd out
of the hospital I am used to it. There nothing to worry about.
Until after it is over and you have to try and get all that glue out of your
hair. That is always the fun part. :)
Good Luck with everything. I will be going intot he hospital myself
in March to have EEG monitoring. So not to worry.
Blessings,
Kim
ps: I am very new to this board and I hope I can help others who
may not have gone through what I have gone through in the past 7 years.
Kim: It sounds like you have been through quite a bit. Thanks for the practical advice. Hope all goes well with yours in March.
