Well I am now into 1 1/2 weeks since changing from Paxil to EffexorXR. What at trip. I feel much more stable emotionally but dang it is not fun. Don't know how to explain it other than I don't want to do it again. Sunday was the last day I took the Paxil and am surprised how it can affect me physically. The good thing is I know this too will pass and once it is out of my system, look out. I can actually smile and feel some joy penetrating the storm that has been raging in my life. Maybe I am finally listening to a higher power that is directing me to calmer seas.
Hope all are doing well. Please know that Rosie and I are here for you whenever you need us. (I hope Rosie doesn't mind me speaking for her). Happiness to all.
We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Paxil . . . hmmmmmm Ginny from the lupus forum is trying to wean herself off that and she is having a hard time of it. I think it did its job for her . . . but she'd like to try no anti-d and see how it goes. I'll have to tell her of your switch . . . maybe she could switch to something else and then try to go without.
I haven't had any trouble going on and off mine. But once I'm off it for a couple months, I end up with depression again.
