WHat medications do you take for your bipolar ?! list away !

I am currently only taking Klonopin. I seem to be doing okay right now and pdoc okayed discontinuation of Abilify and Effexor. They both caused alot of anxiety for me and I believe the Abilify was creating a manic episode. Couldn't eat, couldn't sit, just paced and paced. Whew...lots of panic attacks too.

Also the abilify can cause something called Akithisia. Where you cant sit, feel anxious and just wanna pace and pace ! I had this with Zyprexa, it almost made me go crazy though it was so so intense. Like i wanted to crawl outa my skin

Lamictal and Xanax for the anxiety... definately need more Lamictal. I still feel disconnected from the world most of the time. Manic some days, depressed others.
i take olanzapine lamical celaxe prozac and lithium.for bipolar 2.
I take bupropion, effexor, Zoloft, lithium, propanol, sometimes
gabapentin, if I take it all the time, all I want to do is sleep.
The gabapentin is for restless leg syndrome.

I'm sindi and I usually post on the crohns' disease forum. I also have bipolar 1 disorder. I do not post here since I do not take any meds, except for zyprexa ( if I feel out of control). Thought you guys would yell at me cause I am medless. I have tried most of the meds, but either the side effects are severe, or they agravate my crohns. Take Care!

Welcome. Nope, no yelling here. Everyone deals with their disorder in their own fashion. I've gone years without meds and now am taking only an anti-anxiety med. I have a few rough patches and sometimes have to go back on meds but for the most part other than the Klonie, I'm unmedicated as well. If I can lead a normal life without the stuff I do. When things get complicated, and I get very hypomanic, (I don't do the depression end of the spectrum often) then I'll go in for help.

Lamictal and Abilify.. they make me sick and very sleepy and dizzy. What a life.
