What types of arthritis could it be??

I'm curious if there are any other conditions where you would have this arthritis pain on both side and in so many places? Is there a type of arthritis besides RA that causes this pain and inflammation on both sides of the body.

I read about peripheral arthritis in crohns disease and it seems like it is pretty common, but it didnt say anything about inflammation. I have inflammation in my joints, so it sort of has me worried. My Rhuemy still hasnt said what it is, or really even hinted at anything besides RA.

Hey D- I have Psoriatic arthritis that effects my fingers, wrists, toes, feet, ankles and knees... I also have spondylitis... All my bloodwork showed up negative for RA, and I have Psoriasis, so it was basically a process of elimination to determine what I had. I went for 2 years bouncing between doctors to try and find out what was wrong with my feet... My arthritis effects both sides of my body also... my right is worse than my left, in my feet, and my left is worse than my right in my wrists... I hope you find answers soon. What made you decide not to take the sulphasalazine?

Supposedly some of the various arthritis types are diagnosed by the way your bone degenerates - which means it can be seen in an x-ray. I also psoriatic arthritis, but my doc now just calls it RA. He wasn't w/me the years of flares that were beyond feet and joint pain that all pointed to P.A. Doc now says, "it doesn't matter specifically which you have, you'll be treated/medicated the same either way."

I have never taken Imuran, but it seems there are few people here who do.

Good luck. It sounds like your body is on a rampage.....have they done a full panel of blood work to make sure your body isn't fighting something else causing such massive inflammation right now?

Hi hope every one doing good,

I have crohns,RA,OA and I also have Sojerens disease.I was told that Ra and OA can hurt on both sides of the body.But right now I have double trouble because I have an infection in my liver and I have a picc line so I can get my meds.

For now I'am off all of my arthritis meds (Methotrexate,Humira and Sulfazine.So I have been in alot of pain.I see my PM tomorrow and to see what meds we can try.

I'am on Oxycodone10-325 but for now I can not have any thing with asperin are tylenol.But I was talking to my Pharmacy and she said that they made Oxcodone with out any tylenol are asperin in it.

So I have a question has any one took the straight out Oxycodone?if so did it work as well as oxcodone with the tylenol are asperin in it.If any one could tell me I would be very appreciat so I will know what to say to my pain Doctor.

D-Rule, I know you are hoping for someone to answer who actually is ON the medicine, but I found this on the web...you probably know this already, but I wonder, do they use RA as a general term for various forms of it?

D, is the methadone not taking care of your joint pain? If not ask dr to increase the dose. Susie

D, I've been on Imuran for about 2 years for the Crohn's, at a fairly low dose. I was complaining to the GI doc that my flare-ups seem more frequent than I would expect and also moaning because they've taken away the Vioxx which Reeally helped the arthritis. He said, lets check your labs and increase your Imuran, that will help with both. The Rheumy thinks it's a good idea, too. I'm only going from 50mg to 75mg, right now, but that leaves lots of room for more increases if needed.

I am on 100mg of Imuran for my cd too. My gi says it can help arthritis and it also enhances the effects of the Remicade that I do.

Now get this, I was online at 1-800-PetMeds, guess what vets are prescribing to dogs for arthritis, Imuran. I nearly fell out of my chair.
