youtubers journey with Lyme - some Mexico Hyperthermia Clinic content

I like motorsport - and casually follow the F1 motor racing

this guy has a channel about the technical details which i have been following for a while

turns out he has been diagnosed with lyme after being ill for 15 years with a mystery fatiguing illness.
he has just released a video about his health , Lyme diagnosis and treatment
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwtptlcnxes

i thought i would post it here as it has a bit of content about the Mexican clinic that does the hyperthermia treatments - which is what he opted for - and i found that bit interesting.

he had tested positive for babesia and bartonella too - rickettsia also - not species thought to be susceptible to heat in the same way as borrelia - but maybe hitting borrelia hard with heat is enough to make a difference ....

he says he thinks he has turned a corner - but like many of us has felt that way before - so is cautiously optimistic

all the best !
ill since Feb 2015 – Lyme (Armin), Mycoplasma Pn, suspected Bart
Bart now conclusively diagnosed by microscopy see https://tinyurl.com/2eatxxz7
60% recovered - most useful approaches:
=Wholefood Keto Diet
=Exercise – initially walking – now weights too
=Buhner Lyme herbs and co-infect herbs
=Immune modulation- Ivermectin and LDN
=Methylene Blue (Bart)
+T4 and T3 for thyroid
Goodness I already get overheated I'd be scared to try hyperthermia as a treatment 😥. But i guess infared saunas are supposed to be good so maybe it would work as a treatment
yep - its not tolerable to be awake for the process - they put you under once you get past a certain temperature

the mechanism is specific to borrelia - it is well documented that they are killed by temperatures above i think something like 42 degrees Celsius ( maybe less if its prolonged) - i think even the persister and cystic forms.

applies to other borrelia also - for example - in the 19th century before antibiotics were developed it was demonstrated that you could cure tertiary syphilis patients by infecting them with malaria - because it caused very high fevers. Malaria, though life threatening, was considered preferable to dying of syphilis

BTW - the clinic just uses a tent like thing and powerful heat lamps to achieve the carefully modulable temperature control - infrared saunas generally are not acting on this mechanism - as they not raising core temp high enough or long enough to make an impact. Their effects are thought to be more direct effects of infrared light and more conventional heat induced effects similar to sun bathing.

anyway one of the curious things to me was around what happens about the other infections - assuming the hyperthermia kills ALL borrelia - is that enough to allow the patients immune system to deal with the rest? - if so that interesting and has implications for other modes of treatment.

I've found that the limiting factor is detoxing rather than how fast I can kill borrelia. I suspect that if you could kill all the borrelia at once, your immune system wouldn't be able to handle it, or your kidneys wouldn't be able to handle it. Hypercalcemia from disintegrating biofilm was also a big problem.

The other infections also won't go away without antibiotics. I was likely infected with bartonella for years, and by the time I started showing symptoms I no longer had a cat. If your immune system is good you might not show symptoms for a while, but the infection is still there.

BTW, although Lyme disease and syphilis are related, syphilis is treponema, not borrelia.
yes i thought the same, there was no treating for babesia and bartonella at all?? Or did he get IV ABX? He probably will get relapsed, specially when you just treat borrelia and babesia also drives the bus as we know. I dont wanna know how much he spend for that. And yes the hypterhemie looks quite cheap hahha

yep, thanks for the correction Quin

I should have said "the mechanism is specific to spirochetes" rather than borrelia

ref the herx - interestingly he said he felt fine / good when he first woke from the treatment - but felt progressively worse over the following days as his body had to deal with the toxins etc

i think its a whole program of IC drips and other detox approaches etc to help you through it

there was not complete detail on what is included in the treatment - but i think in the video it mentioned IV antibiotics were given also - so i think it may be fairer to categorise the approach as hyperthermia assisted antibiotic therapy

i imagine - since he has made his health journey public he will likely update in the future on how its going - so will be interesting to see if its enough for him to turn the corner
