Hey all
I started taking Zoloft about 2 months ago...and I havent been able to decide if its working as it should or not. When I was first boosted up to 75mg I had thoughts of selfmutilation and suicide more than before, but then i was put up to 100mg...and now I feel..well okay for the most part. Is that the zoloft working or is it just because.
I was wondering what other experiences people have had with Zoloft. Someone told me that it really doesnt start to work well until its above 100mg.

Hey Marla, I think it is different for everyone...with the Zoloft dosages so, that isn't necessarily correct. But in my experience with Zoloft I was on it for 4 years and did really well. I ended up on 200 mg and it just stopped working finally. It will take 4-6 weeks after a change to get to therapeutic level so you may not notice a real difference just yet. Hopefully you will soon... 
I have a friend that takes only 50mg a day and does fine with that.....
Hi marla. Ive been on zoloft for 15 yrs. Im taking 75 mgs. now but Im going to up them to 100 mgs because I have alot to deal with right now. It does take at least a month to make a difference in how you feel. I have tried other antidepressants but zoloft seems to work the best for me. The mgs you take are really up to the dr. depending on how you are doing. I hope you feel better soon!
