Mekkie...right about 3-4 weeks i had the same feelings. Go back and read some of the old posts. i know how you are feeling. trust me you will start to feel better soon. i did. i suffered from sweats and hot flashes for about 2 months. they will also subside. i also used to question whether i was crazy for coming off z. hang in there sweetie! i know right now you dont feel like it will get better but it will

mekkie im sure it will all pass although i didnt have the hotflashes im a guy so it might be somthing with hormones or something but what do i know
im almost positive though it will all subside just hang in there? one day you'll look back on this entire experience and be like wow i came a long way

Mekkie, my daughter is still complaining on a regular daily basis about hotflashes, its weird to think a 18 year old would be having those kind of side effects.  I give you so much credit along with Allyboo, of staying drug free, I really question the fact of maybe we put her back on something to early and didn't really give the zoloft time to wear off and maybe she could of got over this in time.  You seem to be experiencing the same stuff, I'm sorry!  I know you will make it through, you have great determination!!!  I would love to bring this forum up at her next appointment at the pdoc, this way maybe they would understand alittle more of what people are going through from this med!  We go to the dietition tomarrow, hopefully I will be finding something out to share that will shed some light for everyone on this forum with wieght loss struggle from zoloft! yeah

Thanks guys for your support and kindness...I've been in need of it lately. I think I may try to go off the Zoloft completely in 2006 but I'll talk to my doctor first. We'll see.
 
I hope everyone is doing well. The cleansing of your system from Zoloft is tough but just remember, every minute that passes is one more minute you are closer to being through the worst part of it. We are all here for you and come here and we'll all try to help each other through.

well actually im doing fine. i feel really good i have my moments but nothing dibilitating so im happy !!!!!!!! actually thursday night im going out with a old friend of mine to a club its the first time i have been in about a year and a half, so hopefully everything will go as planned.
how has your moods been?

Snickersmom, its good to see your posts, missed hearing from you!  You kinda sound sad in your posts, is everything okay?

We saw the deititon today, uh, well, kinda worth less I guess you could say!  I don't think she has ever delt with drug induced weight!  She is so discourgaed kinda like what you went through allyboo, lost weight then gain 2 lbs back!  Will things ever go back to normal?  I know her appeitate has been less since she has been on the wellbutrin, I just don't understand, like the rest of you who are going through this!  I'm going to keep researching and find some answers for everyone who struggles through this!!!

Hey guys...It's good to see you all. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is looking forward to 2006.

I'm sorry about my last few posts. Normally I'm really upbeat but the weight thing has really gotten me over a barrel lately and now with all the junk I ate during the holidays...I'm sure I've gained about 20 pounds!!! :-) :-) :-)

Everything else is going all right. I hope you all are well. For those of you coming off Zoloft and having a tough time, just put your head down and wait for it to pass. IT WILL...I know it feels like it won't but it will. You'll be okay and you have all of us here to help you through.

Snikersmom its so good to hear from you how have you been? Was your Xmas good, well ... like you i enjoyed all the food lol.
As for me i have been off Zoloft for 3 weeks and 1 day :-)  
i have been really good latley , and my confidence has boomed as another person asked me if i lost weight and someone else asked me if i was dieting so its crazy how im seeing a change. 
i mean i have my moments you know where i feel a little edgy but i think everyone does. im still going out doing my daily routine!
 
so it is possible for everyone to take control of this.

Hey everryone!! Happy New Year!
I had a great holiday and i am glad that everyone did as well. I have been doing really well. January 4 will be 2 months zoloft free and i feel great. My life has changed dramatically since coming off the drug. i have not seen to much weight loss, but i feel great emotionally. i have made some big changes in my life recently. i just broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years to find some independence in my life right now. That is how good i feel!! Many of my friends have noticed a difference in my weight. Mostly they tell me that my face is not as big as it has been and i do not look as swollen as i used to. i am going to begin my exercise routine this week in an effort to jump start my metabolism and speed this process up a little. i have not actually weighed myself in a couple weeks, but when i did last there was small difference of 3 pounds in my weight which is definatly improvement if you ask me!!! i plan on weighing myself some time this week and i will update everyone on my progress.
 
For all of you that have just recently come zoloft i am very curious as to how you coming along in your recovery. Please keep me updated and i am hoping for the best for all of you.

Is Zoloft the reason i'm starting to gain weight?! Been on it for almost 2 months. Haven't noticed a difference yet...i can't sleep at night and then want to sleep during the day.

yes, i have found myself in the bathroom more often, while getting off zoloft, and thirsty... LOTS of water...heh

yeh i had the same when i stopped with zoloft constantly in the bathroom the funnie thing is i seem to of only lost water retention but no fat infact i have gained weight not sure if that has to do with the holidays but its 6 weeks no zoloft for me and im sick of waiting for some movement pffffff

hposi03 maybe the weight gain has to do with zoloft not sure cause i didnt start to see weight gain till after 6 months but everyone is different

It is most likly the zoloft that is causing some changes in your body. i was on zoloft for 18 months and i gained 35 pounds. i have just recently come off the drug, been off for 2 months and i am in the process of losing the weight now. my suggestion to you is to consult your doctor now about the changes your noticing and maybe they can change you to another medication before it is to late. Trust me you do not want to go through what many of us on this website have gone through.
i agree with mekkie, i did not see the weight gain until after 6 months as well, but everyone is different.
