I just finished the 4th Lee Denim Day Fundraiser at work, and this year we hit $720. I am pretty happy with that, although when we did it 2000-2002 (skipped '03), we got between $950-$1250.
There were a few differences this time. The first year, when I got $1250, I had some outside donations...including from a lot of you (remember SL, I had ribbon pins and collected some cash). But this year, we have a good 30-50 less employees, and for a variety of reasons, I could not use company email...so all my communications had to be fliers and paper reminders...no one reads them. ANother huge difference is turnover in one big department, staffed mostly by young women, right out of college. Sorry, but BC is far from their minds...so that lessened my pool too. And the first year was the year I did chemo, so it was fresh on folks' minds.
I am thrilled with what we got, brings our total to over $4000. Not too shabby!
