What type of IBS do you have? Most IBSers cannot handle apple anything.... Major gas and bloating.

On most acidophilus bottles, it says you can break open the capsules and sprinkle it onto stuff. You can also buy packets of acidophilus. I think they are alot more expensive tho. The taste (to me, im kinda sensitive to stuff in my food) is nasty, tho.
If it does taste bad and you can't find anything else to eat it with other than applesauce (agreed that apples mess just about everyone on here up), then try just regular yogurt and milk with acidophillus. Even the two together won't give you as much daily, I wouldn't think, as a pill, but they will give you a good dose, plus the yogurt will give you some other good probiotics to boot. Not to mention that calcium helps soothe an irritated or inflamed intestinal lining which causes diarrhea in a lot of people.
