Hi. Just wondered if any of you out there feel that you are probably addicted to some meds (for pain relief), but can't survive without them? I kind of feel trapped. I pop so many Imitrex and Fioricet, I feel like I might be killing my insides. I am honest with my neurologist, but he doesn't seem too concerned...he seems to think we'll find this great preventative "really soon" that will totally diminish my need for pain killers. Hah. Either I keep taking them and remain addicted and suffer from rebound and live a semi-"normal" life, or I clean out my system, stop all meds and am then literally in bed 5 out of 7 days per week. Which is worse. Am I shaving years off of my life by taking so much. My poor liver! agh!
Anybody have a similar thing going on?
thanks
amanda
I know it has been months since u posted, but I am hoping you'll get a notification of a reply.....
Are u still on the Fioriocet? I ask because I have been on it daily for 4 weeks now and find it now takes more than 2 to get my headaches (new onset, 4 weeks) to subside.
Thanks...................

Hi Deb,
Please read my reply to your other message - I suspect you are suffering rebound headaches.
