my young daughter has allergies. To what we don't know. An ear-nose-throat specialist we've seen wants to scrape her adnoids and push back the first two little balls in her upper nose-not sure what they're called. I'd like someones opinion on getting this done. The specialist says it's minor surgery and she'll have to be on benadryl for a few years, but that her breathing will be alot easier. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Thanks, showsjc.
I had my tonsils and adnoids taken out about 6 years ago and ripe old age of 30.........and let me tell you, they are not kidding when they say it's harder on adults then children! My friends son had his adnoids taken out due to allergies and it seemed to help him greatly and his healing time was only about a week. It actually doesn't take that long to recover from this surgery but he had a phobia of swallowing his pills (antibiotics) and pain killer which prolonged his recovery time.
Oh and btw, welcome to Healingwell!
