With the possibility of Mark having Hep C, I did ask the Hepatologist about this as it is a concern for us having a Positive test. They think it might be a false positive. The doctor told us he would have to take HepC treatment, because though it's a new liver the virus is still going to be in his body. I can only pray the most recent test for HepC come up negative!!! When I thought I would need a transplant, I asked about this and was told that I would need hep C treatment. It's a blood borne disease and is in the blood, not just the liver. If my tumor shrinks enough to be operable, afterwards I will then need hep C treatment or risk developing another hepatoma or cirrhosis.
