Hugs to you!
We understand... IBS is frustrating. It is a viscious cycle with the stress and symptoms. The most important thing is to reduce your anxiety/stress and eat healthy. Stay away from raw veggies and be careful with fruit and dairy.
An antidepressant might be a good idea since they have been known to suppress IBS symptoms. Talk to your doc about it. Tell her you are not satisfied and need help managing your symtoms.
We're always here for you to vent.

Don't give up hope! I was Dx with IBS with diarrhea 3 weeks ago. I have had diarrhea/loose stools for 2 months STRAIGHT. It isn't fun at all! I TOTALLY understand. I don't hurt all of the time. I just get the "urge" to "go" all of the time and I was going 3-8 times a day at first. Listed to your GI specialist...I know how you feel...I got the"what if's". What if the Dr. is wrong? What if I have cancer? What if I have ulcers in my colon? ETC., ETC., ETC. "This diarrhea came out of nowhere and has never let up so SOMETING may be causing this!"
I've had the colonoscopy, upper GI test, small bowel series x-ray, stool cultures, blood tess, etc. Nothing is found in them, so IBS-D is what they say I have. All I can do it trust the doctor and do what he tells me to do...have some faith.
I hope you are feeling better soon. Immodiom has helped me tremendously. I only take 1/2 a pill a day. My GI specialist also put me on Librax. It is an antispasam and antidepressent pill all in 1...the combo deal for the IBS sufferer!
Let us know how you are doing!
