Anxiety rash when stressed out. Has anyone had this happen before? How long did it take to go away?
Net says anxiety rash can last from a few hours to a few days.
As a bipolar, I’ve never had anxiety rash but I have had anxiety along with depression, mania, panic attacks.
I take Mirtazapine anti-depressant and then a stabilizer, Lithium, to keep the anti-depressant from throwing me into mania.
Because of that, I haven’t had depression, mania, anxiety, or panic attacks for over 30 years.
Also, I’ve read where you could be treating the symptom (such as anxiety rash, not enough sleep) which could be a sign of an underlying problem, such as anxiety or depression or bipolar.
If so, you may be treating the symptom and not getting to the underlying problem.
Over the last few weeks, months or years, have you ever had anxiety rash before? Have you ever had depression, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep issues? Have you ever had extreme energy, mental and physical highs, followed by depression?
I’ve had the latter, and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder (manic-depression), and again, once I started taking medicine that all stopped.
If you’re having this on a regular basis, you may want to get a diagnosis from a psychiatrist. You can look on the net for psychiatrists for your town, one who is near you or with qualifications or gender that you may prefer.
You may also want to look on your computer search engine under “mental health groups” for your hometown, call the director’s number and ask the secretary if they can recommend a psychiatrist, man or woman, whichever you prefer.
You can also look in the search engine for hospitals in your hometown, look on the net for some of them and see if they have a women’s health group. If so, call the director and ask the secretary for the name of a psychiatrist.
My sleep is better under control with the help of the regular psych medicine that I take, and and with the health food Melatonin sleep aid at the drug or grocery store. To help with sleep, I also use a sleeping pad on my chest, with a towel between me and the pad. The pad also helps with chest issues by further opening the blood vessels in that area.
I also have a general practitioner who helps with other health problems and can sometimes recommend specialists in other fields such as psychiatry.
