My doctor told me today that perhaps since I have not responded to the ppi drugs and my barium swallow test was normal, perhaps my entire problem is anxiety. He wants me to have the endoscopy to just be sure and then pursue the anxiety aspect. Anyone else been told this? My life has been stressful for the past 2 years and that is how long I have had this problem. This almost seems like good news cause if it is not a physical problem, maybe I can "cure" it. Would be interested in anyone's experience? Thanks in advance.
I have earlier also shared my experience that I can feel acid secrating in my upper abdomin due to anxiety, tension, stress,and other mental symtoms. Though I regularly take PPI & h2 blockers but even these dont work when I have anxiety. Under theses circumstaces I m taking help from homeopathy which I find quite useful.
