My hands have been feeling stiff lately and my upper arm too on and off. Has anyone else gotten this?
Yes, I have muscle, tendon, and ligament stiffness in my legs and arms. So, far the only thing suggested for relief was to do light stretching and light exercises. I'm on muscle relaxers because I have constant muscle spasms in my arms, back and legs and it helps a little bit, but not consistently enough for me. However, I have several other issues that cause problems, so I'm not the "typical case".
I know ice works for some people, while only heat will work for my body, but I can't take either extreme. I hope you can find some relief. Make sure you are getting your daily intake of Calcium, Vitamin D3, and Magnesium. It's best to try and get it via your foods as much as possible. If you need a supplement, then make sure you are getting a supplement that is as natural as you can get. Some doctors/nurse practitioners sell the FDA tested and approved versions in their office, but they will be more expensive than what you can buy at your local stores.
I would bring it up with your doctor at your next appointment, so they can make sure nothing else is going on. Best of luck! Hang in there!

I rarely have a day that I am free of stiffness and pain. Heat is what works well for me.
Yes ! The MR seem to help it for me.
I've been stiff for years with this fibro, especially my back. What helps me somewhat, gives me some relief is a nice bath. I use to do water aerobics, that was soothing.
A good massage helps too by a person who is knowledgeable about fibro.
Good luck to you.
Fibromyalgia, CFS, multiple chemical sensivity, herniated disks, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, ADD, sjorgens, sleep apnea, asthma, headaches. The only medication I take is ibuprofen at night to sleep along with my supplements for sleeping. I am on a regiment of different supplements, I eat very nutritiously, and ever since my injury years ago I have been doing prescribed stretches x2 daily.

Stiffness is one of the hallmarks of fibro. If you haven't already, to into Fibro 101 and read A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia and there are other links too that tell a lot of the symptoms. This helps allay your fears.
