Hi debi.

How long is your flight for?I had never flown until June of this year because I would never have coped because of my Uc.I now have an Ileostomy and although I was nervous at first everything went fine. The bag didn't expand or anythig lol.I did have to use the loo to empty just the once, but it was fine.I shall definatly fly again.
Go for it and have a good time.

cool  Have a great trip and don't worry.  Take an extra bag. Have you used the Eaking Cohesive seals. Use them before you put on the appliance.  I am 53 have had illieostomy for 25 years. Flly all the time, snorkel, swim , marathons. Have blown off a few, but heh!!  Use a belt. Don't drink carb beverages and avoid real gassy foods 24 hours before flight.  YOu need to prepare your skin good before putting bag on.  Try leaving bag off for 15 min. if possible.  Lie down with gauze over stoma. rub in diaper rash cream and then wipe off. Apply skin prep and stomahesive and then eakins then adhesive spray and bag-should be OK.
good luck
I have flown several times with the bag and have not had any problems.  It's much better than flying with UC because I could actually sleep on the flight without being interrupted by the urge to go to the bathroom.  Just remember to pack enough appliances (paste, bags, clips, odor drops, whatever you like to use) for the duration of your trip.

Have fun!
