Bad Blood Work Results

So I finally got the courage to go for physical and the results were extremely triggering.

My Cholesterol both overall and LDL were surprisingly very high and my Blood Sugar 111

As the 4th was last week what is a typically healthy diet was filled with sausage, hot dogs, pizza, cake and beer. The night before was also my sons birthday party where I had ice cream cake and pizza could this have potentially caused such a significant spike?

I am socked as I am 39 in good shape and typically eat well
Was the blood sugar level done by a finger stick or was it an A1C test? Yes, the sugar is a little on the high side but that can be cleaned up with diet & retest by way of A1C in a few months.

What was your total cholesterol level? What was your drs recomendations?

Total was 263!

I tried calling last 2 days but havent heard back. Extremely nervous as I have an overseas trip for work next week and am not sure I should travel
I am guessing you read this on your patient portal. Why not send a message on the portal that you are suppose to travel for work & you need to speak with someone before you leave.

I just scheduled a follow up for tomorrow am just to be safe
The good news is met with Dr. EKG cam back normal and heart beat is good.

Requested lifestyle change for 3 months and if still high satin treatment it seems
Great news & thank goodness your dr is willing to let this be possibly corrected without medication. My cholesterol has been far too high & I changed my diet. To this day it's still a little over but my drs are good with my numbers, I do labs every 6 months due to my age.

Take care.

Good news is cholesterol came down 100 points still on diet have cut drinking to almost nothing and feel great.

Went to dr today due to flu and BP was through the roof it never ends lol
I'm quite a bitg older than you, however, I had high blood pressure, colesterol and blood sugar, and I would get nice letters from my doctor suggesting exercise, diet and whatnot.

After awhile, the letters weren't so nice, or the doctor visits, I mean, it was like he gave me a chance, as if I was, right, a 39 year old. And I couldn't keep up the pace. So he suggested pills. Of course, I balked, but not for too long. I had a good chance and I couldn't do those things on my own. So I took the pills.

I would keep taking those readings on you own and write them down in your medical journal and see what's happening, such as, what did I eat yesterday, how's my exercise going? I would also keep going back to a general practitoneer to see what he or she thinks. What, annual checkup, OK.
