I am all for less invasive testing!! And I’ve long considered the occult blood fecal test useless. My mom received an all clear test right before being diagnosed with colorectal cancer via colonoscopy. Perhaps she could have received a diagnosis earlier if she had taken a more accurate saliva test.
Interesting. How is your mom doing? My mother was diagnosed with CC when she was in her late 70s, had surgery to remove just the affected section, had regular surveillance and lived to 94 with no further recurrence.
My mom’s was caught way too late, it had already spread to her liver. She passed away a couple months after her diagnosis. I am happy your mom had a much better outcome. My mom would have been turning 90 this year. She was 74 when she died.
