Hi my name is Teri and I have Cholesterol. Unfortunately, I also have a problem with that Cholesterol!
I never realized that I had high cholesterol, or the tendency for it until I was about 35 yrs. of age~it was about 135. I had a PCP back then that put me on a statin and it gave me some trouble, so I was taken off of it and along the way, he stopped being a PPO, so I got lax and figured that I seemed healthy enough without anything. Just a little over 10 years after that...I had a heart attack and my cholesterol was 279.
It was discovered at that point that I had inherited a familial tendency for a type of cholesterol that is hard to control and I had to be on a statin to get it under control, that diet was not enough. So believe me when I tell you...watching the cholesterol in my diet has become very important to me!
