I have been on Crestor 40 mg for almost 2 years, 20 mg for 6 years before that. A month ago, I added Zetia. Had lipids tested last week,
My Total Cholesterol is 75, and my LDL-C is 6. No typo, 6.
Has anyone experienced LDL that low? Has anyone monitored the effect on atherosclerotic plaque of LDL that low?

Why are you still on crestor? How is your HDL and triglyceride numbers?
Sorry, I haven’t been on in a while. First, I misspoke I’ve been on Crestor 20 mg , not 40. I had to stop the Zetia, as my liver enzymes started acting up. So still on Crestor.
To answer your question PFOtoo, my triglycerides , 203 last check, and HDL 31. One obvious sign of Metabolic Syndrome, along with my fatty liver, visceral fat, high BP and high fasting insulin/insulin resistance.
I’m starting Wegovy this week, for heart disease (FDA APPROVED, and shown to reduce heart attack risk by 20-25% in patients with already established coronary artery disease independent of weight loss. (SELECT trial).
I believe in my case, it’s metabolic syndrome that’s driving my plaque growth , not LDL, which has been and remains in the low 40’s for years(with on,y Crestor)
