Father started with PCA back in 2013 with PSA being 40. He went through his hormone injection phase, xtandi and was currently on Zytiga/Prednisone until last 2 moths where they switched him t Dexamethasone and PSA went from 402 to 196 and now 153

I thought I would share this - here's his diagram from 2016, his PSA is tested monthly and the last 2 drops you see are after Dexamethasone

Corticosteroids are known to have an effect on the cancer independently of the hormone or chemo therapy they are usually paired with. However, that effect is usually short lived. Dexamethasone is much more powerful that prednisone. Of course steroid side effects accumulate over time, which is why they usually go with low dose prednisone.
