A day of memories after a lifetime of companionship.
In the video below, a fellow about our age sits down in his house and reminisces over pictures in a dusty old photo album, and sees a snapshot of his young special someone, she is no longer with him, from that other, youthful time they shared.
He then takes steps to relive that special time, at least in his own mind.
He does so with the help of the very motorcycle the two of them used to ride in the days of their youth, now stored away in his garage.
He fixes it up and takes it for a ride.
Just a first step in his wistful remembrance of his days of youth with his lady.
In his mind he moves back in time, delighted to see her young smile again.
And while it's probably the case that most of us don't ride a hog and feel the wind in our faces, like the fellow in the video does, it's still true that we can, each in our own way, do something comparable, and make those fond memories of the past come alive, at least for a while.
Like the guy in the video does.
His life is filled with sweet memories, at least for a while.
So while it's true that we can't go home again, for sure we can at least visit.
For a while.
