I recently went to a GI doc and was told that I have a "mild" hiatal hernia. I have been suffering with acid reflux for several months now and was wondering if my hernia could be the cause. I am currently taking Nexium 40mg after switching from AciPhex several weeks ago.
The meds have helped but I still suffer reflux on a daily basis...what should I do? Thanks
Possibly you may need yet another med (PPI) to try like Protonix. Are you staying in an upright position after you eat for 3 to 4 hours? Following a GERD diet?
Since your hernia is mild, possibly another med would help you more?
