I've been posting in the Anxiety forum, having been battling what I believe are panic attacks and all the associated symptoms.
Today, I've had sensations where it felt like I was briefly numb in the brain, and making random vocalizations (kind of like hushed screaming or whimpering). I also had tingling sensation on the rear left side of my head. For some reason, the thought of a seizure popped into my head.
Sometimes, for the past few years, I've also zoned out and not had any thoughts at all, just a blank stare (usually on the bus). Then I'll jerk back to being fully alert.
I'm not asking for a diagnosis, but I have read there is an overlap between the two conditions and their symptoms and was curious if anyone had had any similar experiences.
Meds: Sertraline 50mg, Diazepam 5mg as/when required.
Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Insomnia.

I've battled multiple types of seizures since the age of 2. They changed as I aged. The only way it was confirmed as seizures was after the C-Scan and the MRI test. It was a definite answer that I was having seizures. There are many, many different types of seizures. Anxiety can trigger one sometimes for me in the afternoon or evening during the middle of the month. One fact is that you will have a horrible headache after a seizure if you're not one meds.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to make an appointment to try and arrange a test just to rule out seizures.

Do you remember when you started your meds you said sometime for the past few years for the blank stare . your taking a pretty intense drug always remember to look at the side effects they can give. I'm on a drug that can make me seize if I take to much seize if I don't take enough and seize if its just not going to work for me . knowing if its working when its working and how its working has been very important for me. good luck !
OHHHH Yes it was misdiagnosed. I was probably having seizures for most of my life before a doctor figured it out. Even then it took years to get a referral. A lot of it was I have total amnesia, and I myself didn't know how bizarre my behavior was.
