has anyone regained the ability to read, who lost the ability for a long time?

I have not been able to read

read a book

except a few lines

or a few lines from a newspaper or internet stuff


my vision is fine

i have major neuro probs

but i dont have any money left

as i have spent it all on failed treatments etc

same story as too many...


i miss reading, even for leisure, to pass time

i wanted to go back to school


i dont know what dr, to go to

and how to get the funds


this part of the disease is the worst for me

it takes who i am, away


tired of this, year five of this

Besides the occasional ache and minor fatigue, I've been doing pretty well for a year now. But I haven't read a book since I got sick. It's infuriating. I was a voracious reader and now I just can't do it. I still get books from the library but they just sit there until it's time to return them.

Sigh.

Yes. Not much but grateful for some improvement. I use to read 3-4 books a month on top of a demanding job that required technical reading as well as normal vorporate communication s. I vouldnt comprehend or gocus on words. J would reread paragraph s multipke times, then if I thoubhg j figured out whag the text meant I would then forget it in short order. After started treatment I noticed a couple times I have been able yo reac a book chapter. It was a joy beinv able to read. It was envouraging cause I knew if I couls continue to get better some skills would improve.I have not read more than bills, gorms and some inet info gor last ciuple of mknths but I feel yhechange in abx has causec md to dedecline again. I see llmd next week. Not sure what yo do, really dont want yo be on abx's but azithromycin is the one that helpec most I think. I think my diet wax better cause I felt lass impairec and ciuld trh yo eat better bug again that gas slipped and I'm resolved to gettinv it undef control agsin.
