Hello I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself

Hi there!

I am new here and wanted to say hello to all of you!!

I look forward to many great discussions in the future with all of you.

I am somewhat new to this whole Epilepsy diagnosis so forgive me if I ask alot of questions.  I have Nocturnal seizures primarily, secondary Complex Partial seizures and have had Tonic Clonics as well.  I live on the East coast and have many interests.  I love to meet new people and share life experiences.  I am so glad I was referred to this site.  I look forward to creating relationships with all of you.

Healthy wishes, PPL5 scool
Thank you very much for the warm welcome and best wishes. I appreciate it alot!!! :) Puppy
Hi Puppylove,
Ive been reading some of your posts and wanted to share topics which involved mainly families dealing with Epilepsy together with the individuals. You mentioned how your mom knew and felt whats been happening to you by just looking at your face, that is exactly how I am with my son,you can understand and explain whats happening to you,he cannot speak...reading your posts somehow gave me that closeness,if he could explain what was happening to him or wanted to say it,Im sure it would be quite similar to yours. You sound so happy and bright, it, in my opinion is the happiest and the most positive voice so far
God Bless

Wow ARRONSMOM, what a nice compliment you have given me. You can email me anytime if you want to talk. I have Keppra mind for so forgive me for asking if you already posted, how old is your son? I wish nothing but the best for your family! I try to hide upsetting things from my mom. It never works. She takes one look at me and says what is wrong!! I can't even hide anything. I guess my face gives me away everytime :).
I am really loving these boards. I am still very new to this, though I have learned alot about asking questions ... I wanted to be a nurse, I had to postpone it this year. I am so upset about it. But I have a spot reserved for me next year if I still want to go. I am not sure about if I will have seizure control by then. I sure hope so, but if not, I don't think I would be fit to be a nurse :( I am starting to look into X-Ray Tech programs and MRI tech programs. Nursing Shifts in NY are usually 12 hours and night shifts is what is most common when you are new. All of that is very unhealthy for me in my condition right now. So I am quite frustrated about everything. I have a great supportive loving family, which makes all the difference in the world. I hope to talk with you soon, you brightened my day by posting such nice words to me. thanks alot, Puppy
We are new to the epilepsy thing as well our son started having seizures the end of June this year he has secondary generalized, partial and complex partials hes currently on Trileptal and seems to be doing very well now that we have him at the right dosage.
I can see the fear in his face when hes having a partial.

Welcome to the board.

Yes I have been here well over a year now. I love this support group the best I have joined yet. Even did a community health project based on online support groups thanks to Peter and Jennifer. Good luck to everyone here. Thanks for posting. Tracy
