Two yrs ago I lost the feelings of hunger & fullness. It's helpful since I don't eat anything after 3 pm but on the other hand it could be quite detrimental since I don't feel full even after I eat what's on my plate & know it is enough to fill me up. The GI doc shrugged his shoulders. Does anyone else experience this?
I'm sort of in the same boat right now. I have been on Nexium for 5 weeks and I've noticed this last week that I've lost all sensation of hunger. I actually feel full almost immediately after beginning to it. I also feel incredibly bloated.
Are you on PPI's? Perhaps we're experiencing side effects.
I am on the opposite end. Since I started taking the Prilosec Perscription I am hungry all the time. I am glad I started running again otherwise I would be huge.

hey im new here but i know how ur feeling! HAVE U BEEN CHECKED FOR IBS? I EAT AND FEEL SO FULL AND SOMETIMES I EAT NTHG AND FEEL FULL, SO SOMETIMES WHEN I HAVENT ATE AND STILL FEEL FULL I EAT A LIL SOMETHING AND IT HELPS, SOUNDS WEIRD BUT TRUE!! SOMETIMES NO MATTER HOW MUCH I EAT IM STILL STARVING. I HAVE ACID REFLEX, AND IBS-D SO THEY SAID ITS PROB RELATED TO IBS SO IM NOT SURE BUT I KNOW HOW U FEEL. LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT I HOPE U FEEL BETA.

Any time lack of appetite and bloating come into play, you want to look into motility issues. Is your stomach emptying at a slower-than-normal rate? Request a gastric emptying study from your doc.
I simply don't feel hunger pangs, no stomach growling and never feel full after eating.This occurred before I started PPI and continues now that I've been on prevacid over a yr. Food tasts good and I enjoy eating, just never get hungry or full. I just wondered if anyone else who has GERD experienced this. It's not a problem but I'm just curious.
