OK, I know they said dont eat raw fruits and veggies for six weeks. Is this because of gas or hard to digest ?
i would love to have a sub sandwich with lettuce and tomato. How long before you guys ate that kind of stuff, i was wondering if a little would really hurt?
Thanks Bunches!!!!

I ate fruits and veggies pretty quickly after my surgery- just be very thorough when chewing your food. I am very lucky and have never had a blockage but I am EXTREMELY careful to chew food (especially veggies) well.
Thanks,,
I think i might have lettuce and tomato on a sub, but i'll stay away from others for a while. I'll remember to chew it up real good.
Thanks

You must be aware that it may make your output a little active and a lttle gas but everyone is different. I ate raw vegies pretty quick after surgery.

I eat anything and everything ... did so soon after surgery ... Like has already been said ... CHEW! I even eat peanuts, just not by the handful, and I find that a bag will last LOTS longer now that I eat them one by one. The only veggie I have had any trouble with is raw onion on a hanbugher ... didn't chew it well and could tell later on!!! God bless!
Even God has a sense of humor ... as I find out every morning when I shave ... so have a laugh today, even if it is only to laugh at me! God bless!
