I wanted to take a moment to reconnect and remind everyone that this forum is here for you—a safe place where we can share, support, and lean on one another through the journey with Parkinson’s. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing Parkinson’s for years, your experiences, challenges, and victories matter to everyone here.
Sometimes, life gets in the way, and it’s easy to drift from the community. But remember, we’re all in this together, and there’s a lot of strength in sharing our stories. It doesn’t matter if you want to ask a question, share a success, or just vent—we’re listening.
So, I invite you to jump back in! What’s been going on with you? Have you found a new way to manage symptoms, or perhaps discovered something helpful about medication, diet, or exercise? Maybe you’re going through a tough time and just need to talk. Whatever it is, we’re here for each other.

Started my day off with my husband hallucinating that a water glass was leaking. I explained to him it was actually the espresso machine steam nozzle that had leaked but he kept insisting the glass was leaking. Another relative of ours hallucinates if her meds are not working. She always wants to know the truth and encourages us to be honest. But my husband became very upset when I showed him it was the steam nozzle leaking about 6” away from the water glass. Should I not be correcting him?
Diagnosed 1987 with lower left ulcerative colitis. Hospitalized often. Mega toxic pan colitis Dec. 1999. Perforated colon and total colectomy April 2011. First j-pouch surgery March 8, 2012. Six other damaged organs removed at that time. Ileostomy reversal June 26, 2012. First half-marathon Dec. 2, 2012!
